AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Poland held political consultations in Warsaw on June 17, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.
The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov, the Polish side by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Marek Pravda.
The parties exchanged views on current issues of interaction in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They confirmed their mutual focus on strengthening the Turkmen-Polish partnership.
The sides confirmed mutual commitment to intensifying bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in the trade, economic and social spheres, and improving the legal framework. It was proposed to study the possibilities of creating a Working Group on economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Poland.
A Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Poland for 2025-2026 was signed at the meeting to intensify joint work in the political and diplomatic direction.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Chairman of the Committee of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) Miroslav Antonovich held the meeting on the same day. They discussed promising areas of bilateral partnership.
