AKIPRESS.COM - Telegram founder Pavel Durov has shared photos of his visit to Kyrgyzstan.
"I loved the people and nature of Kyrgyzstan — a real hidden gem of Central Asia. The weather was great, and there were no mosquitoes, so we hiked and rode horses a lot in the mountains and around the Issyk-Kul lake. I noticed that Kyrgyzstan is developing very fast, adding valuable infrastructure across the country," Pavel Durov said.
"More than half of the country’s population uses Telegram monthly, and in the last four months alone, Telegram's popularity grew by 30%. While there, we met with local telecom leaders and discussed ways to improve the experience of Kyrgyz Telegram users," he said.
"Thank you, Kyrgyzstan — we will be back soon. Your hospitality inspires me for my future trips around beautiful Central Asia," Pavel Durov concluded.
