Akyn Askat Jetigen uulu sentenced to 3 years in prison

AKIPRESS.COM - The Sverdlovskiy District Court has announced sentence for akyn (poet improviser) Askat Jetigen uulu.

He was announced not guilty of making calls for riots, but was found guilty of making public calls for violent seizure of power.

The young poet improviser was sentenced to 3 years in prison. 

Detention of the akyn was announced on March 18. He was later released from custody under travel ban, but was then retaken into custody.
