Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan to cooperate in agriculture, transport and logistics sectors

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, who is attending the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, met President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on July 3, the Mongolian President's office reports.

President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa noted that the visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Mongolia in 2023 deepened the relations between the two countries and strengthened the partnership. 

The sides stressed that strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, intensifying high-level dialogue, and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation is becoming important.

The Presidents appreciated the intensification of cooperation between legislative institutions of the two countries and the reciprocal official visits of the two Parliaments in 2024.

To deepen the friendly relations further, the heads of the two states expressed their commitment to closely and actively cooperate in the defense, trade, economics, education, tourism, agriculture, light industry, transport, and logistics sectors.

The two sides commended the intensive progress of the establishment of the "Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan Friendship Garden" in Erdenet City, Mongolia, and the introduction of fruit and berry saplings from Kyrgyzstan, coordinating "One Billion Tree" National Campaign of Mongolia and "Green Heritage" initiative of Kyrgyzstan.
