Presidents of Mongolia and Turkey hold meeting

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa met with President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and discussed some issues on bilateral and multilateral relations as part of the participation in the SCO Summit in Astana, Montsame reports.

President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa noted that Mongolia places high significance on its relations with Turkiye, a third neighbor and a comprehensive strategic partner country, and intends to deepen cooperation in all sectors of the economy and society and elevate its partnership.

President Erdoğan underscored that Turkiye aims to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperating in all fields with Mongolia.

The two sides stated the high significance of state and high-level visits and talks between the two countries in expanding the relations and cooperation, and agreed to hold high-level visits and ceremonial celebrations commemorating the 55th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkiye.

The trade turnover between Mongolia and Turkiye increased threefold in recent years, and the increasing number of regular direct flights between the two countries became an important impetus in strengthening the connection between the peoples and expanding the trade and economic relations.
