King of Bhutan arrives in Mongolia on a state visit

AKIPRESS.COM - King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen of Bhutan Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck and the Royal Family of Bhutan have arrived in Mongolia on July 8 on a state visit upon the invitation of the Mongolian President.

Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Bhutan Ganbold Dambajav, Non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Mongolia Vetsop Namgyel and other officials greeted King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the Bhutanese delegation at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport of Mongolia.

During the first state visit of the King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to Mongolia, the two heads of state will hold an official meeting and exchange views on opportunities to expand Mongolia-Bhutan relations and cooperation and issues of cooperation in international and regional fora. Moreover, the two sides will sign cooperation documents to strengthen the legal basis of bilateral relations.

Also, King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck with the Royal Family will attend the Opening Ceremony of the National Naadam Festival as honored guests.

Also, the King of Bhutan will visit the Chingigs Khaan National Museum of Mongolia and Bogdo Khaan Palace Museum of Mongolia to get acquainted with the history, culture, and traditions of Mongolia. Also, as Bhutan is a member of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck is expected to visit the International Think Tank in Ulaanbaatar City.
