AKIPRESS.COM - Zarina Keneshova died as a result of explosion in the soft drinks shop in the town of Jalal-Abad. She was 17 years old.
The girl was buried on July 14.
Zarina was a studen of the foreign languages department of Osh State University.
The 80-year-old grandmother of the girl, Yrys Shamshieva, said Zarina decided to work during her summer vacations. She decided to earn some money to buy clothing by the start of the academic year. The first got this job 2-3 days before the tragedy.
"Zarina was a smart kid. Her parents are school teachers. Zarina managed to learn English well. After graduation of school, she decided to enter the English language department. She finished her first year in the Osh State University this year and came home for vacations. The father left to the UK for seasonal job 20 days ahead of the tragedy. Zarina came home once saying she found a job of seller of soda drinks. We were against the idea. But Zarina insisted, saying she can earn some money to buy new clothing to help her parents. We agreed eventually. She began working 2-3 days ago," the grandmother said.
On the day of tragedy, the grandmother accompanied her granddaughter to the minibus that goes to the city. "We thought that she would return home before evening. But she wasn't there. By that time, videos began to arrive on the mobile phone. Mom recognized her, and then her grandchildren took the body from the morgue. Yesterday we told her father about what happened and held a funeral. Zarina's father returned from the UK today, he cannot understand what happened. Can't come to terms with this... The owner of the soda water outlet never came to us to express his condolences. This makes us sad. Today my daughter-in-law went to police to file a report," Yrys Shamshieva said.
Zarina was the eldest child in the family of 5 children.
The Jalal-Abad region police department said the case was sent to the State National Security Committee for further investigation.
