Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan organize conference on development of higher education

AKIPRESS.COM - About 60 rectors from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, senior officials from Ministries and agencies are participating in the conference on the development of higher education and science in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, UzA reports.

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kongratebay Sharipov and Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva noted that bilateral relations are developing comprehensively due to the active foreign policy of the heads of the two states.

Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva expressed confidence that joint efforts will lead to new achievements and success in higher education and science.

As part of the teacher exchange program, about 100 specialists from Kyrgyzstan's universities work at the National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andijan Machine-Building Institute, Urgench State University, Bukhara State Medical Institute, and Navoi State University of Mining and Technology.

The conference participants noted that one of the main goals in education is to achieve the stable development of a system for training highly qualified personnel. 

It is planned to sign memorandums of understanding, agreements, and roadmaps for the exchange of teaching staff and students and the joint organization of educational processes, as well as adopt resolutions of the Second Forum of University Rectors of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
