AKIPRESS.COM - The Ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan visited Bukhara.
The Ambassadors met with governor of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov, UzA reports.
The head of the region emphasized that expanding the scale of cooperation with developed countries is a priority in international relations. Friendly ties between the countries’ leaders and agreements reached during high-level meetings are essential.
Views were exchanged on further developing Bukhara region’s partnership with China and South Korea in trade, economic, investment, educational, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The fact that the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea are among the top ten countries with high foreign trade turnover with Bukhara region was recognized. In particular, today, there are more than 430 enterprises with the participation of foreign investors in the region, 45 of which are with Chinese and 13 with Korean capital.
Botir Zaripov noted that the projects of Chinese and Korean companies and others implemented by foreign partners in Bukhara region will be fully supported.
The parties discussed providing practical assistance in attracting large companies from China and Korea to open textile and construction enterprises, manufacture electrical products and solar panels, build wind power plants and modern hotels, launch gastronomic and tourism enterprises, and implement new projects in free economic zones.
Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
