Child who had his neck pierced by metal fence saved by Almaty doctors

AKIPRESS.COM - A child who had his neck pierced by a metal fence was saved by doctors in Almaty, Kazinform reports.

The boy, born in 2015, was urgently delivered to the emergency department of the Almaty Children's Emergency Medical Care Center. According to the boy's father, he was injured after falling from a bicycle onto a metal fence 1.5 hours ago.

The child's condition was assessed as extremely serious.

The boy had a 6 cm long wound in the neck, from which a part of a metal fence was sticking out. The patient was urgently transported to the surgery room, it took the surgeons 1.5 hours to remove part of the metal fence.

On Monday, the child was transferred to a specialized department, where he continues to receive treatment. His condition is assessed as stable.
