Uzbekistan Cinema Days held in Astana

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan Cinema Days are held in Astana on August 6-7. The event is organized in the Chaplin Cinema and provides residents and city guests with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the best examples of modern Uzbek cinema, UzA reported.

The first film is “Abdulla Oripov: The Singer of Independence” directed by Muzaffar Erkinov. The film, shot in 2023, tells about the life and work of the famous Uzbek poet Abdulla Oripov, the author of the text of the National Anthem of Uzbekistan. The audience can immerse themselves in the history of this bright personality’s formation and learn about his contribution to Uzbek literature and cultural development.

The second film presented at the Uzbekistan Cinema Days in Astana is the comedy “Live, Wife!”. The film reveals family values and tells the story of a hero who feels lonely after retirement. The audience can appreciate noble ideas, such as the importance of mutual affection between spouses, parents, and children, which underlie the film’s plot.
