AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Parliament Speaker of Bulgaria Rositsa Kirova is paying an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh, the BTA reported.
The first day of Kirova's visit began with the laying of flowers at the monument to the Cyrillic alphabet in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
"My visit to Mongolia starts from a place that symbolizes the deep roots of spirituality that connects the Bulgarian and Mongolian people," Kirova told the students and teachers of the 118th school in Ulaanbaatar, where the monument commemorating the Cyrillic alphabet is erected. She talked to local government representatives and school principals from the area.
Kirova toured the school and saw a specially arranged exhibition with a Bulgarian theme. She was welcomed with a cultural program, a traditional Mongolian breakfast, performances on string instruments and traditional dances.
Kirova is one of the keynote speakers at the World Women's Forum in Ulaanbaatar on August 22-23 under the auspices of President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
The Deputy Speaker will have bilateral meetings with the Minister of Roads and Transport and the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry on August 21.
