AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Brussels held a meeting with compatriots and a reception dedicated to the Independence Day and the 100th anniversary of foundation of Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.
In addition to the Kyrgyz diaspora in the Benelux countries, the event was attended by ambassadors of all Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Mongolia, Türkiye, Bolivia, as well as representatives of international organizations, media, Brussels Energy Club, agrarian industry, banking sector, defense complex, tourism associations, chambers of commerce and industry and business circles.
The guests were familiarized with the tourism and investment potential of Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people and the current achievements of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In his speech, Ambassador Aydit Erkin highlighted importance of the visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Brussels in June 2024, as well as signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, bringing the relations of the Kyrgyz Republic with the European Union to a new level.
As one of the main points of the program, a visit to the working cabinet-museum of Chyngyz Aitmatov at the Embassy was organized, following which the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and representatives of international organizations left their entries wishes in the Guest Book.
