AKIPRESS.COM - The State National Security Committee (GKNB) detained former Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Mining Duishenbek Zilaliyev and former Director of the State Agency for Geology and Mining Melis Satybaldiyev, the sources told Tazabek.

According to reports, the detainees are suspected of illegal licensing and corruption.

GKNB in December 2018 disclosed undeclared houses, apartments and millions in a bank accounts of former Vice Prime Minister Duishenbek Zilaliyev. Then he was sentenced to 9 years in prison, but in June, 2021 the Supreme Court reversed previous decisions and returned the case for a new review.
