AKIPRESS.COM - The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein held phone talks, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan said.

During the telephone conversation, the Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the current condition of Turkmen-Iraqi relations in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was paid to exchange of bilateral visits at high and the highest levels, as well as continuation of contacts in the bilateral format within the framework of international organizations.

The Ministers stressed the importance and necessity of continuing close cooperation in the regional and international agenda.
