AKIPRESS.COM - The Uzbekistan – Italy Educational Forum took place in Uzbekistan for the first time, UzA reports. The forum is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in higher education.
The forum, which opened at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, will continue its work with a roundtable discussion in Bukhara and Samarkand regions on September 25-27.
The Italian delegates got acquainted with the activities of the Turin Polytechnic University. The opening ceremony of the Italian-Uzbek Center for Advanced Engineering was held at the university during the event.
The Turin Polytechnic University also hosted a forum on a new stage of cooperation between higher education institutions, which is an essential factor in the two countries' development.
It was attended by rectors of more than 40 universities in Uzbekistan and heads of about 20 leading universities in Italy, led by the Minister of University and Research of Italy, Anna Maria Bernini.
At the event, the participants discussed modern approaches to education, issues of introducing advanced digital technologies and innovative teaching methods, organizing joint educational programs, developing scientific research, and expanding the academic mobility of students and professors.
At the forum, 30 agreements and memorandums were signed, which will form the basis for long-term cooperation between the two countries' universities.
