AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of Egypt Badr Abdelatty in New York on September 23, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The sides exchanged views on a number of important bilateral and multilateral issues, including strengthening political, economic, investment, trade, scientific and educational cooperation, and expressed interest in expanding these relations.

During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of promoting water and climate issues and expressed intention to support the process of implementing the UN Water Agenda, especially SDG 6.

In order to implement joint plans in these spheres, the sides considered organizing bilateral visits between Tajikistan and Egypt.
