AKIPRESS.COM - The National University of Mongolia (NUM) was ranked in the 1,501+ category in the 2024 edition of Times Higher Education World University Rankings, marking the first time a Mongolian university has been included in the global ranking, GoGo reported.
The ranking included 1,907 universities from 108 countries.
Rector of NUM B.Ochirkhuyag stated that the university has consistently worked toward meeting the international criteria required for such rankings, producing an average of 200 academic articles annually.
Head of the Department of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education J.Ariunbold noted that this achievement will have a significant impact on Mongolia's higher education sector, paving the way for other public and private institutions to join international rankings. He emphasized the potential for collaboration between Mongolian institutions and international universities, particularly in curriculum development and academic research.
