AKIPRESS.COM - The Termez State University hosted the opening ceremony of the Termez Youth Hub, which has been established by United Nations Development Programme as part of the project funded by the government of Japan, on October 22, the UNDP press service reports.
The ceremony was attended by Rector of Termez State University Abdukodir Toshkulov, Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Takashi Hatori and UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Akiko Fujii.
"The hub is designed to offer a range of services, including vocational trainings in IT, entrepreneurship, and foreign languages. It aims to bridge the gap between education and employment," the UNDP noted in a statement.
The Termez Youth Hub is one of the key initiatives of UNDP in Uzbekistan to create empowering environment for the young people of Surkhandarya region offering more opportunities aligned with the Government programme for the Year of Support for Youth and Business in Uzbekistan.
