Zayed Humanitarian Foundation starts distributing winter kits in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has begun distributing winter kits in Mongolia as part of its "Winter Bag" initiative. Mongolia is one of the 19 countries benefiting from this initiative.

The Foundation's team distributed the kits at five locations in Bayan-Ulgii, located in western Mongolia. The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Complex is also located in the region. The complex includes a school and mosque, the Janur orphanage for girls, the Bagtukh orphanage for boys, the Just Tluk Quran School for girls, and the Bastama school.

Winter kits containing blankets, coats, winter clothing, socks, gloves, hats, and other essential items were distributed to children aged 2 to 16, as well as adults and the elderly people. These supplies are aimed at protecting the population, especially children, from diseases common in cold climates.

This year, the initiative targets a number of countries in different regions of the world, including Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Syria, Gaza, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tanzania, Mongolia, Nepal, Afghanistan and Kosovo.

The Foundation has doubled the number of beneficiaries of the "Winter Bag" initiative this year, increasing the total number of kits to 50,000 compared to 20,000 last winter.
