Turkmenistan and International Monetary Fund discuss developing cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission for Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan Anna Rose Bordon held a meeting on November 1, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

At the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IMF.

During the talks, the parties underlined the commitment to strengthen collaboration, including on matters related to Turkmenistan's determination to join the World Trade Organization.

The importance of IMF advisory support to Turkmenistan that has the status of an acceding country since 2022 was emphasized.

The participants highlighted the need to consolidate efforts aimed at developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Monetary Fund.
