Leaders of 6 countries to gather in Bishkek for 11th summit of Organization of Turkic States

AKIPRESS.COM - A number of events of international level will take place in Bishkek on November 5-7.

On November 5, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will arrive in Kyrgyzstan on state visit, and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán will arrive in Bishkek on official visit.

On November 6, the 11th summit of heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be attended by following Presidents:

President of Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev;

President of Kazakhstan – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev;

Turkish President - Recep Tayyip Erdoğan;

President of Uzbekistan - Shavkat Mirziyoyev;

President of Kyrgyzstan - Sadyr Japarov.

Observer leaders will also attend the summit.

Due to these events, a number of restrictions will be imposed in Bishkek.

Kindergartens and universities

All municipal kindergartens will not work on November 5-6, and the schoolchildren are on autumn break. Students of universities and colleges of Bishkek on November 5-6 will switch to online study.

Trolleybus

On November 4-7, the trolleybus movement will be suspended. From November 8, their work will resume.

Civil servants

Staff of the ministries and state institutions of Bishkek will transfer to remote work on November 5-6.

Restrictions on the streets of Bishkek and Chuy region

Restrictions will be imposed on some streets of Bishkek and Chuy region on November 4, 5 and 6,

This is connected the state visit of the President of Turkey in Kyrgyzstan. Restrictions will affect the following areas:

- From the international airport Manas to the border of Bishkek;

- Fuchik street from the border of Bishkek to Chuy street;

- Chuy street from Fuchik street to the east to Manas Avenue;

- Manas Avenue and Aitmatov street to the south to the state residence Ala-Archa;

The Road Safety Directorate encourages drivers not to leave their vehicles on the designated roadsides, not to drive heavy trucks unnecessarily and strictly observe traffic rules.
