Erdogan forgives foreign debts of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey - Japarov

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sadyr Japarov and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan today delivered speeches at the press conference following the bilateral talks in Yntymak Ordo presidential administration.

During his speech, Japarov declared about cancellation of the external debt of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey.

"I want to thank the President Erdogan for his decision to write off the foreign debt of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey," Japarov said.

As of the end of July 2024, the national debt of Kyrgyzstan to the government of Turkey was $62.35 million.

Total external debt of Kyrgyzstan for the same period was $4.6 billion.
