Mongolian freestyle wrestlers win 8 medals at World Military Wrestling Championship

AKIPRESS.COM - 18 freestyle wrestlers of the Aldar Sports Committee under the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia took part in the World Military Wrestling Championship held in Yerevan, Armenia, Montsame reported.

On the final day of the championship, International Master of Sports Batmagnai Enkhtuvshin triumphed in the men's 125kg freestyle category, securing a gold medal. Meanwhile, International Master of Sports Gankhuyag Ganbaatar claimed a bronze medal in the same category.

In the women's division, Otgontuya Bayanmunkh earned a silver medal in the 57kg category, while Munkhnar Byambasuren claimed silver in the 50kg category, and Oyundari Ganbat won bronze in the 53kg category.

The Mongolian wrestlers won eight medals: two gold, four silver, and two bronze.

The championship featured over 200 athletes from 22 countries, with Mongolia represented by 18 wrestlers.
