AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the United States Senator, member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Steve Daines on November 23, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The parties exchanged views on the need to realize the existing potential and new opportunities in expanding the multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and the United States.

In particular, they discussed strengthening the political dialogue and regional security and stability, developing cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of economy and trade, investments, energy, water resources and glaciers' preservation, tourism and other fields.
