AKIPRESS.COM - The international campaign "16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence" has been launched in Tashkent.
The initiative is aimed at combating violence against women and children, vzglyad.uz reports.
As part of the campaign, a video was released featuring the 2024 Paris Olympics champion, judoka Diyora Keldiyorova. In its address, the National Agency for Social Protection emphasized the importance of fighting for women's rights.
"Every woman deserves to live in a world where her voice is respected and appreciated, and her dreams come true," the Agency stated.
This summer, Diyora Keldiyorova was appointed Social Commissioner of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan. She is actively involved in combating gender inequality and violence against children.
