AKIPRESS.COM - First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin addressed the 14th meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries in Tashkent on November 26, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.
During his speech, the First Deputy Minister called for strengthening regional cooperation in combating threats and challenges of modern time, including terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime and problems related to climate change.
The First Deputy Minister Nasredin also acquainted the participants with the efforts and initiatives of the Tajik government in the international arena, including within the framework of the Dushanbe Counter-Terrorism Process and other relevant international events.
A meeting between Deputy Ministers of the Central Asian countries and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov took place on the sidelines of the event.
