AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Montenegro with residence in Budapest Oybek Shahavdinov presented credentials to President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, UzA reported.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation and identified steps to bring the bilateral partnership to a qualitatively new level. President Jakov Milatović congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on their success in socio-economic development, and noted the importance of reforms.
The President of Montenegro stressed the significant potential for cooperation between states, especially in trade-economic, investment, and cultural spheres. He focused on creating favorable conditions for humanitarian and tourist exchanges, which will strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Montenegro were established on December 19, 2006. Shahavdinov became the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovenia and Croatia and was appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary in March 2024.
