AKIPRESS.COM - The Turkmen-Jordanian inter-ministerial consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on November 27, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.
The sides exchanged views on issues of multilateral and bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres.
The parties underlined that the contacts on the high and the highest levels, as well as regular consultations between the foreign ministries of two countries play special role in the development of bilateral relations.
They also exchanged views on current issues of regional and international agenda. The interlocutors emphasized the need to establish inter-parliamentary ties, as well as to continue close cooperation within the framework of respected international organizations, first of all the UN.
In order to develop trade and economic partnership, the sides exchanged views on the establishment of a joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the two countries, as well as the establishment of partnership between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as businesses of Turkmenistan and Jordan.
The sides also considered the possibilities of expanding collaboration between the two countries in the fields of culture, tourism, science, education and healthcare.
