AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhromjon Aloyev attended the 10th UN Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum held in Cascais, Portugal, UzA reported.
The event participants discussed regional and global issues, as well as the main areas of activity of the UN Alliance of Civilizations in the near and long term.
In his speech, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan emphasized that the country pays special attention to the activities of the Alliance, which plays a vital role in implementing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
It was noted that Uzbekistan will become a platform for two major international events next year – the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference and the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. These events will provide a unique opportunity to promote cultural diversity and dialogue between civilizations and cultures.
