Foreign Minister of Bulgaria receives Ambassador of Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov received Ambassador of Mongolia Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren at a meeting at the Foreign Affairs Ministry on Friday, the Bulgarian News Agency reported. The two sides praised the friendly relations based on shared values and common interests.

Minister Kondov noted the successful bilateral cooperation in the field of education and expressed satisfaction with the annual increase in the number of Mongolian students studying in Bulgaria.

The potential for the development of trade and economic relations was highlighted. The Bulgarian state-owned dairy company LB Bulgaricum and the Mongolian company Apu Dairy signed an agreement for a license to develop, produce, sell and distribute dairy products with original Bulgarian starters in Mongolia in May 2023.

Specific opportunities for intensifying bilateral cooperation by negotiating agreements in the field of transport connectivity were also discussed. The good prospects for relations within the EU-Mongolia dialogue were highlighted.

The parties discussed the celebration next year of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Mongolia.
