Putin, Tokayev discuss airplane crash in Aktau

AKIPRESS.COM - Presidents of Russian and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed air crash in Aktau during the talk on phone.

They exchanged condolences over the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane on December 25 near the city of Aktau.

The sides proceed from the fact that the Kazakh government commission, which is investigating all the details of the air crash, will involve flights recorders found at the crash site, experts from Russia, Azerbaijan and Brazil. This work carried out on the territory of Kazakhstan will be objective and transparent, the Kremlin says in its statement.

Tokayev thaned Putin for the hospitality at the CIS summit and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The leaders agreed to remain in contact on the investigation of causes with the Azerbaijani aircraft and cooperation issues.
