AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad on January 7, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the Chief Executive Officer's first visit to Turkmenistan would contribute to the consistent development of bilateral financial and economic partnership for the benefit of both sides.

During the meeting it was emphasized that Turkmenistan pays great attention to the expansion of mutually beneficial dialogue with the states of the world and reputable international financial structures. The high level of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development was noted.

Turkmenistan has been cooperating for many years with the Fund, which has been actively involved in financing a number of major national and international projects, including healthcare, transportation, communications and finance.

These projects benefit not only the participating states, but also the interests of the peoples of the region, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized. The head of state expressed readiness to further enhance fruitful interaction.

In turn, the Chief Executive Officer emphasized the willingness of the Saudi Fund for Development to participate in financing projects, particularly in the fields of healthcare and transportation, and noted the investment attractiveness of the rapidly developing Turkmen market.
