Mongolian ballet dancers win eight medals in World Ballet Grand Prix

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian ballet students from the National Ballet School of Mongolia under the Mongolian Ballet Development Foundation took part in the World Ballet Grand Prix Tokyo held in Tokyo, Japan, on January 21-23, Montsame reported.

The Exotika team, aged 6-8, and the Copellia team, aged 9-11, won gold medals in the team category. Ballerinas Ch. Gegeen, A. Tanangoo, and Z. Anirlan each secured bronze in the individual category, while M. Inguumel scored the silver medal and Ts. Amina earned an honorable mention. A. Tanangoo won the gold medal in the Best Artist category.

The World Ballet Grand Prix, organized by the International Federation of Ballet Competitions (FIBC) of UNESCO and the international ballet organization Shoryu, promotes ballet development. In addition to participating in the competition, students also took part in a joint training program. The event was attended by young ballet dancers from more than 20 countries, competing in four age categories.
