Mongolia, Azerbaijan hold political consultations

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan held the second political consultative meeting in Ulaanbaatar on February 3, Montsame reported.

The two sides exchanged information on the current political, social, and economic situation in the two countries, as well as the government policies and objectives. They discussed ways to expand Mongolia-Azerbaijan relations and cooperation in numerous areas, including the economy, trade, investment, transportation, energy, culture, and education. The discussions also covered regional and multilateral cooperation, the organization of high-level visits and meetings this year, and strengthening bilateral relations.

The delegation of Azerbaijan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov will meet with officials from the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Road and Transport, Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, and Ministry of Energy. The delegation will also be acquainted with the activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Mongolia.

The meeting was chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav and Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov.
