AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov was received by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana on February 4, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appraised the level of development of Kazakh-Turkmen ties in all vectors in the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership. He also noted that Kazakhstan aims to continue rendering further strong support in the implementation of international initiatives of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on the further development of political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, as well as discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements, including in the field of energy and transport.
