New recycling center to be built in Mongolia through Japanese government's grant assistance project

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia Igawaharu Masaru and Governor of Mörön district of Khuvsgul province Taivanbayar Khadbaatar signed an agreement on the project for the construction of a recycling center in the district, which will be implemented within the framework of the Japanese government's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.

A new recycling center will be built in Mörön district of Khuvsgul province. The increase in the amount of waste in the district is a pressing issue due to population growth, the revival of the tourism industry and the growth of business activity.

The goal of this project is to increase the yield of secondary resources from waste, reduce the negative impact on human health and the environment, and improve living conditions.

The Japanese government has been implementing the Grassroots Human Security Projects in Mongolia for 35 years.
