
AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh visited the Oman Investment Authority on February 19, Montsame reported.
At the meeting, Foreign Minister Battsetseg presented the government of Mongolia's Vision-2050 long-term development policy, the government's action plan, and 14 mega projects. She also exchanged views on areas of cooperation with the Oman Investment Authority (OIA). In addition, the Foreign Minister proposed creating conditions for exporting meat, meat products, wool, and cashmere products from Mongolia to Oman.
The OIA leadership presented activities and priority goals of the investment funds and emphasized its readiness to cooperate with Mongolia in the mining, renewable energy, and agricultural sectors.
The two sides agreed to establish a joint investment fund between Mongolia and Oman, following the OIA experience in establishing joint investment funds with countries such as Uzbekistan and Vietnam, and explore opportunities to finance large-scale projects and programs to be implemented in Mongolia. The OIA representatives will visit Mongolia in the near future.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh provided information on the Mongolia Economic Forum to be held in 2025. The OIA leadership noted that OIA will send its representatives to the forum.
