AKIPRESS.COM - Leo Zeng was appointed new Ambassador of Australia to Mongolia, the Foreign Minister's press service reported.

Australia and Mongolia have a strong and expanding bilateral relationship, built on shared democratic values, economic cooperation, education and people to people ties, the press release notes.

The countries cooperate closely on defense and security including through Australia's annual participation in the Khan Quest peacekeeping exercise hosted by Mongolia.

Leo Zeng has previously served as Deputy Head of Mission in Serbia, with earlier postings in India and Republic of Korea.
