AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov received UNFPA Country Director Ms. Chinwe Ogbonna, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan said.

The parties noted a high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNFPA and agreed on its further development.

Coordination of actions within the framework of the comprehensive implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme for Turkmenistan for the period 2021-2025 was emphasized.

Cooperation on improving reproductive and maternal healthcare, gender equality, demography, and promoting healthy social and gender norms among young population were highlighted as key areas of bilateral interaction.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest in further developing the partnership.
