President of Uzbekistan and EU leaders plant trees in Samarkand
AKIPRESS.COM - A tree-planting ceremony was held following high-level talks between Uzbekistan and the EU on April 3 in Samarkand, UzA reported.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, jointly planted two oak trees along the alley of the Congress Center in Samarkand.
The tree planting served as a symbolic gesture of the deepening friendship, multifaceted cooperation, and growing partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
