AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain on April 21 for an official visit at the invitation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the President’s press service reports.

Japarov was received at Bahrain International Airport in Manama by Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and other officials.

During the visit, Japarov plans to hold talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Consultative Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and other Bahraini officials to discuss bilateral cooperation.

The two sides will address ways to develop and expand Kyrgyz-Bahraini relations in various areas of mutual interest, including trade and economy, culture, humanitarian cooperation and other fields.

A package of bilateral agreements between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain is also expected to be signed.

This marks the first official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Bahrain in history.
