
AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan plans to build 50 small hydroelectric power plants from 2025 to 2030, head of the development department of Chakan HPP Aalyaidar Slem uulu said on April 21.
According to him, 18 small hydroelectric power plants are scheduled to be commissioned this year alone. Another 16 stations are planned to be built in 2026, and 12 in 2027. By 2030, it is planned to implement about 50 projects in the small hydropower sector.
Aalyaidar Slem uulu noted that new plants and factories are opening in the country every year, and they need a stable energy supply.
