Tourist student police appear in Ulaanbaatar

AKIPRESS.COM - The Crime Prevention Coordination Branch Council of Ulaanbaatar, the Capital City Police Department, and the Mongolian Student Union have jointly launched the "Student Police-2025" Program to ensure the safety of tourists and prevent crimes and infringements.

This year, 62 student police officers from 12 universities in Ulaanbaatar will work to ensure the safety of foreign tourists, prevent crimes and infringements, and provide them with necessary information including the location of places and service points, support, and advice during the summer season, when the number of tourists in Mongolia increases throughout the summer. The Student Police Program was first launched in 2014.

The students were selected based on their level of foreign language proficiency, and the student police will work eight hours a day for two months from June 12 until August 10, 2025.
