AKIPRESS.COM - The international tourism forum "Khatlon – the burning heart of tourism" is taking place in Tajikistan, UzA reported.

Tourism experts from Surkandarya region, scientists from Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy, artists, storytellers, and officials from Kashkadarya Regional Tourism Department, as well as delegates from Korea, Iran, Russia, China, and Kyrgyzstan, are attending the event.

The event, aimed at popularizing historical monuments, national handicrafts, traditions, and customs of Khatlon region, began with a visit to an exhibition demonstrating the tourist attractiveness of the region.

The head of Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, provided information about the region's tourism potential and the ongoing activities to create a favorable environment for tourists.

The delegation of Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions presented the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

Memoranda of cooperation will be signed between local tourism companies and the Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy.
