AKIPRESS.COM - A cardiovascular center will be established at the National Hospital. The total cost of the project is $56.3 million. $32.9 million will come from a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and $22.4 million will be a grant from Luxembourg.
Over the last decade, Luxembourg has successfully completed three phases of cardiovascular medicine projects in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Hospital No. 3. The grant amount was increased, and the investment was made in partnership with the EBRD.
The project is scheduled to be completed within three years and will include construction, equipment, and training for doctors and staff. The government has endorsed the project, and it will be included in the healthcare sector development package within the budget, which will be presented on September 1 and submitted to parliament for discussion. Project implementation is set to begin next year.
