
AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin addressed the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 26, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.
In his remarks, Minister Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan's commitment to the principles of the OIC and called for stronger unity in addressing common challenges. He emphasized the importance of peace, stability, and cooperation across the Islamic world.
The Minister expressed concern over the crisis in Gaza and reiterated support for the two-state solution. He also highlighted the situation in Afghanistan and noted the need for joint efforts on climate and water issues, including glaciers' preservation initiatives led by Tajikistan.
