Foreign Minister of Mongolia receives Canadian Ambassador

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh received Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia Stephen Doust following his appointment in October 2025, Montsame reported.

Foreign Minister Battsetseg underscored Mongolia's commitment to advancing its relations and cooperation with Canada.

The Minister emphasized the importance of further strengthening the comprehensive partnership between Mongolia and Canada by expanding collaboration across mutually beneficial sectors, including trade, education, and humanitarian assistance.

Minister Battsetseg also highlighted the value of fostering ties and promoting cooperation between the provinces and territories of the two countries.

Ambassador Doust conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand, and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Mongolia-Canada partnership.

He expressed his intention to deepen cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, energy, and road transport, alongside continued collaboration in mining, and to expand the scope of Canadian-supported projects and programs in Mongolia.

Minister Battsetseg wished success to Ambassador Doust in his diplomatic mission and affirmed the full support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia for his efforts.
