AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Indonesia (with residence in Kuala Lumpur) M. Mashalov presented credentials to President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on November 7, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenostan reported.

The President of Indonesia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this position and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

Turkmenistan's interest in developing cooperation with Indonesia in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres was noted.

The Ambassador also conveyed an invitation on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the President of Indonesia to pay a visit to Turkmenistan.

The Ambassador held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Sugiono. During the conversation, the Indonesian Minister expressed readiness to provide assistance and support in the implementation of the Ambassador's diplomatic activities.

The sides agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries with a view to further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Indonesia.
