Venezuelan VP says country 'will never be a colony again'

AKIPRESS.COM - Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez asserted that Nicolás Maduro is “the only president of Venezuela” after US forces captured Maduro early Saturday, CNN reported.

In a defiant address broadcast from Caracas, Rodríguez said that Venezuelans “must not become slaves again.”

“We will never be a colony again,” she said.

She also condemned the “aggression” from the United States and declared that the “words of the president are the only ones we are guided by.”

Rodríguez sat alongside high-level government figures, including Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez and several military leaders.
